Excerpt from Reverend Ann’s book – THE CRUSH ON THE CROSS

ABBA FATHER:- “Abba” is a very personal, intimate and a very close Name. That is:-, “My Father/Our Daddy.” The SPIRIT OF ADOPTION Which is The Spirit of Christ is in us. We are adopted/taken as God’s children through accepting Christ as Our Lord and Saviour.

The merciless nature of the old covenant/testament was not a revelation of the heart of Our Dear Father. It was a concession He Had to make in order to breach the gap between the cold-hearted, sinful nature of humankind and the Righteousness inherent in sons and daughters of a Royal King.
When the people asked to live by rules of DO’s and DON’T’s( e.g, asking God that He should bless them after they have earned/worked for their blessings, laboured for their own Righteousness), instead of relationship,- they didn’t know that they were setting themselves up for a failure , for something they couldn’t be able to fulfill by their own self efforts/power or might. It’s ONLY by the Help of Our Holy God that you can keep a promise. God Had no choice but to judge them based on their terms, according to their works instead of according to His Righteousness, mercy,Grace. That is why it was a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye, do this then i do that, if you obey my commands’ then I will bless you, heal your land. It became an era of DO’S and DON’TS. You had to do something in order for God to do something because they thought they can prove God by their works. But all the time they found themselves in messes in need of God to redeem and deliver them from their own troubles that they had put themselves into that always led them to captivity and bondage. They always fall short of meeting the standards and the requirements of the laws. “For ALL have sinned and FALLEN SHORT of the GLORY/STANDARDS/REQUIREMENTS of God. Romans 3:23”. Laws/requirements were made by God at mount Sinai and given to Moses for Moses to give people. But God made laws after people demanded to have the laws and walk by laws instead of making God to be their Pillar, Path, Light, Strength,Hope,Way as He is the ONLY WAY to being saved and set FREE from those laws.
But because God still LOVED us so much, He looked for a way to set us free from our self-imposed bondage of laws. “There is a way that seems and appears right to man. But in the end, that way leads to death. Proverbs 14:12”.
God extended His Hand of mercy towards us by dying for us. The penalty of breaking the law of DO’S AND DON’T’s was death. And therefore, because everyone broke the laws and no one could keep it and fulfill it to its utmost, we all deserved to carry that penalty which is all of us dying and doomed forever without the hope of ever joining back again with our loving Father and Our Creator. But by His mercies, He gave us what we didn’t deserve. That is:-, Giving us a second chance of living forever and Eternally joining back with Him calling Him Our Abba Father by the fact that He took it all to Himself and made sure that in Him we are counted worthy, Blessed, righteous,holy and as the ones who has ALREADY FULFILLED our part of the deal. Hallelujah!. What A Loving Father we have. We praise His Holy Name Forever in Jesus Name.

Jesus as the Mediator between us and God, He is The ONLY WAY to FREEDOM from self-imposed laws, sin and messes of Life. Believe in Him ONLY and you shall surely be saved and receive your Freedom.
